The IBM® Robotic Process Automation offering helps automate more business and IT processes at scale with the ease and speed of traditional RPA. Software robots, or bots, can act on AI insights to complete tasks with no lag time and enable the user to achieve digital transformation.

We have automated many of our processes using this tool, as this is affordable and drives better results than other tools in the market(yeah, we tried many). We used this on our customer support chatbot, and it was able to solve many small queries, which decreased cost and wait time. We have also automated our logs monitoring, and RPA is also taking actions based on it, using AI, which is very helpful and keeps the system up and running.

When used for workflow management or for tasks which require decisions based on data or AI can be trained, it works well. But it can use on scenarios that needs to consider so many factors as it gets to set it up and also gives unexpected results.

Our experience with IBM Robotic Process Automation was favorable from the beginning since the ease of use and the user experience is impressive, and its implementation had no delays or inconveniences. We solve problems automatically, and with the help of bot programming, we reduce hours of manual work, reduce errors by human personnel and streamline our internal processes with great efficiency in the final results.

We know that RPA services can be a necessary investment to significantly improve the tasks and jobs that are being carried out in our facilities and in the cloud. These jobs must be automated with IBM bots in order to obtain the desired performance. Currently, the impact these on-premises automation have on performance is much less in cloud deployments; In the facilities, we have only implemented a few bots, but in the cloud, we have already managed to automate almost 65% of the tasks; this translates into savings in working hours and in the budget allocated to a large number of applications.
  • Building a bot quickly and without code, this means that its implementation can be developed without having previous experience.
  • Solving some technical problems is easy if you can create chatbots that can respond to most customer requests.
  • Bot management is a simple task if we are clear about the characteristics of its metrics.
  • I don't see a problem with IBM Robotic Process Automation, it is important for our company especially to solve the problems of errors in the cloud and in the resolution of technical problems.
An RPM expert can use all the software on the market without any problem, but for some inexperienced users it can be very difficult to use certain products on the market... This does not happen with IBM Robotic Process Automation because it is very intuitive and in general, all users have managed to implement the bots at some point. Moreover, RPA has a very low-coding environment and provides us the drag-and-drop option to handle and set up things easily as compared to other RPA tools.

Now end users can simply fill out a template and submit it to the BOT for processing rather than requiring individuals to process via email. It's also helped facilitate the storing of documents (i.e storing incoming CVs in a specific folder).

We are using this product for Supplier's bill passing and costing master data updation in SAP.

Supplier send the file with attached on specified email.

IBM Robotic Process Automation reads the supplier attached file from email with OCR and take out supplier code, PO number, and matches with SAP master data.

Based on above matching system pass the invoice in case of there is a mismatch then admin receive the exception email
  • Suppliers send the email with attached invoice on special email ID created for this purpose only
  • IBM Robotic Process Automation reads the email attachment with OCR capability and convert that data into our required template
  • if above data e.g. vendor code, PO number, material code, quantity calculation matches with our specified rules, IBM Robotic Process Automation does the SAP bill passing (MIRO)
  • if there is a mismatch then admin receive the exception email with vendor,PO number etc
  • Speed of invoice reading through OCR can be improved
  • More machine learning can be used in case of exceptional cases

I think IBM Robotic Process Automation is more suited in case there is a huge data and work is of same nature. IBM Robotic Process Automation takes care of mistakes and avoid human error. We use it to automate repetitive tasks we usually did with Excel, mainly related to procure to pay and HR processes. A good example is the invoice data to be inserted through our Internet banking or the employees' timesheet to be validated with the payroll. We use RPA instead of developing an integration because in this way the end users are autonomous in the automation creation.

Several times we suffered from the automation of pending/important activities due to human errors when delegating certain undue processes. However, using this IBM Robotic Process Automation tool, we can configure robots to do all the repetitive and critical processes, now much more reliable and without the errors. The device is very easy and intuitive in terms of development. In addition, it has very complete documentation that facilitated the implementation.

My experience is great it's mainly used for our company to automate the deployment process for our client. it's had great and improves the workflow by increasing productivity. This seamless integration has changed the way we work previously. Earlier the email and call sent by our support team the deployment time taking is too much but after using this RPA It increases the speed and productivity time.

We automated many manual task, in which monitoring is a major chunk. We automated our many process which are config driven and generated a huge logs, now to manage logs and take specific actions based on logs and failures, we are using RPA. It is fast and enables us faster response and more uptime.

  • It is not possible to click on the header of the table within SAP, being necessary to perform the filter in another way, which also leads to a problem with the list
  • The tool does not recognize this list, it is necessary to click on the search button, the binoculars above the list, and write the name of the column for it to be selected, click on the arrow throwing it to the next table and after that selecting the filter at the bottom to put the condition
We use it well in sales systems, but we have problems when we use it in SAP.

I use the IBM Robotic Process Automation tool to improve efficiency, decrease human errors and increase the safety of a process. The automated process in question is the alteration of the customer's contract, in this way the robot receives an alteration instruction with all the necessary data and modifies the legacy applications related to the telecommunication part (television, broadband, residential and mobile telephony).

We are RPA Service providers and IBM businees partners. We recommend and use the IBM Robotic Process Automation platform to automate our clients' businesses. Not many MS Office options (like Pivot and Lookup) but provided macro/vbsccript support which is not suitable for non-programatic users. The new version(21.0) of documentation is much better. I love the coonectors of google drive, one drvie, dropbox provided by IBM RPA. The best feature is dashboard customization without paying extra. Easy way of triggering bots using Launcher(desktop application), Scehduler, Control Room API, Bot agent API(clinet system). IBM RPA was improved a lot recently and the future feature list seems very good.

liked the ease and functionality through the easy navigation of the user interface. It is very easy to learn and can be put to work right away. It is really powerful due to its intuitive visual drag and drops coding.
